Norway was among the International Ski Federation retroactively to the third Nordic World Ski Championships explained FIS race of 1926 in Lahti in Finland represented by 10 athletes.

The most successful Norwegian participants were Johan Grøttumsbråten and Jacob Tullin Thams with their victories in Nordic combined and ski jumping . In general, the Norwegians showed their superiority in these two disciplines by winning all possible medals. In the two cross-country skiing competitions , however, the Norwegians only managed to achieve a bronze medal from Olav Kjelbotn in the endurance run over 50 km.
