At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in Finland in 1926 , two cross-country skiing competitions were held.
For Skikönig the Finn crowned Matti Raivio , who both competitions, the place of the 18-km run inaugural 30-km run and endurance over 50 km was won by. With the exception of Olav Kjelbotn's bronze medal over 50 km, all medals went to Finland .
Most of the Central European countries stayed away from the event. Only the two Czechoslovak representatives Josef Německý and Emmerich Rath started in the two cross-country skiing competitions , but neither of them could achieve a result.
