At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in Finland in 1926 , a competition in Nordic combined was held.

The combined cross-country race over 15 km took place on Friday, February 5, 1926, at temperatures of −30 ° C. The Norwegian Johan Grøttumsbråten took the win in front of his compatriot Thorleif Haug .

In the jumping from the Salpausselkä ski jump ( K -40) on February 6th, the Norwegian Otto Aasen took the lead. Jacob Tullin Thams showed the longest jump of the competition, it was jumped twice, the better jump was scored, with 39.5 meters.

Grøttumsbråten became world champion . In the overall ranking, the Norwegians convinced with places 1 to 4.
