At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1925 in Johannisbad in Czechoslovakia , a competition in Nordic combined was held.

The combination cross-country race over 18 km took place as part of the special cross-country race on Saturday, February 14th, 1925, the combined ski jumping from the Rübezahl-Schanze on Sunday, February 15th, 1925.

The Czech Otakar Německý was crowned world champion . Josef Adolf from the Giant Mountains took second place . Affentranger won third place (see also under "Note"), the first medal for the Swiss Ski Association at the Nordic World Ski Championships.

Note: According to contemporary reports from Austrian , Czechoslovak and Polish newspapers, the German Bohemian Franz Wende took third place with 31.236 points. The International Ski Association leads the Swiss Xaver Affentranger as third place , but without specifying the points actually achieved. In the contemporary result lists, the Swiss is only sixth behind Wende, Bím and Blomseth with 30.096 points . Affentranger has a score of 31,403 on a private page. A later correction of the result seems possible here, but cannot currently be proven.
