Nowe Dwory is a village with a Schulzenamt of the Brzeźnica municipality in the Powiat Wadowicki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland .
history
The name of the village means Neuhöfen in German . The place was first mentioned in 1648 as Nowedwory alias Brzeźnice and was built a little earlier on the grounds of Brzeźnica, but also of Marcyporęba , Górki, Owsianki, Bachorowice and Wioska. Górki was first mentioned in 1403 as Gorky or Gorka , later it became a hamlet of Marcyporęba and in the middle of the 16th century of Nowe Dwory. The other current hamlet of Nowe Dwory, Owsianki, emerged as an independent village, probably in the mid-16th century. The place Wioska (literally village ) was mentioned by Jan Długosz in the years 1470 to 1480 as Wyostra ad alodium dicta Gorky owned by the Silesian Radwanites. The first of the eponymous new farms was later built in Wioska. Bachorowice was first mentioned in 1758 and is now a hamlet of Marcyporęba, but with its own school administration.
When Poland was first partitioned , Nowe Dwory became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804).
In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Nowe Dwory became part of Poland again. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II .
From 1975 to 1998 Nowe Dwory belonged to the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .
