Nurmachan Anarbekuly Tinälijew ( Kazakh Нұрмахан Анарбекұлы Тінәлиев , Russian Нурмахан Анарбекович Тыналиев Nurmachan Anarbekowitsch Tynalijew ; * January 10, 1988 ) is a Kazakh wrestler . He won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman style in the heavyweight division at the 2010, 2011 and 2013 World Championships .

Career

Nurmachan Tinälijew started wrestling as a teenager in 2000. He is a member of the Däulet Almaty sports club and focuses on the Greco-Roman style. He is trained by Marartbek Kasimchanow. At a height of 1.90 meters, he wrestles in the heavyweight division, the weight class up to 120 kg body weight.

He was already very successful as a junior and won a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Guatemala City and Beijing . In the senior class, it took him two years to reach the top international class. At the 2009 World Championships in Herning / Denmark, which started in the heavyweight division, he was not quite ready, because he lost his first fight there against Nico Schmidt from Germany , was eliminated and only came in 19th place.

At the 2010 World Cup in Moscow , he then won his first senior medal. In the heavyweight division he defeated Rocco Daniele Ficara from Italy , Vladimir Guralski from Israel and, sensationally, also the former world champion Chassan Barojew from Russia , who in 2008 had won a silver medal that was revoked in 2016 through doping . Then Tinälijew lost to Mijaín López from Cuba and won the bronze medal with a victory over Marek Švec from the Czech Republic . He then won the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, ahead of Liu Deli from China and Muradjan Tuichijew from Tajikistan .

In the World Cup 2011 in Istanbul Nurmachan Tinälijew repeated his medal win of 2010. He won there with wins over Dremiel Byers , United States , Nico Schmidt and Xenophon Koutsioubas , Greece , losing to Rıza Kayaalp from Turkey and a victory over Mihály Deák Bárdos from Hungary again a World Cup bronze medal. This placement also meant qualification for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . In these games he was unsuccessful. He lost his first fight there against Johan Eurén , Sweden. Since this did not reach the final, he was eliminated and only came in 18th place.

In 2013 he was Asian heavyweight champion in New Delhi, defeating the Chinese Nie Xiaoming in the final. At the well-attended Universiade in Kazan in July 2013, he won a bronze medal behind Rıza Kayaalp , Turkey and Amir Ali-Akbari from Iran. He was also successful at the 2013 World Cup in Budapest. He won there over Muradjan Tuichijew, Tajikistan and Radhouane Chebbi, Tunisia, then lost to Heiki Nabi from Estonia and secured a bronze medal in the consolation round with victories over Kamil Blonski, Poland and the experienced Mihaly Deak Bardos from Hungary.
