Nusret Taşdeler

Hüseyin Nusret Taşdeler (born October 3, 1951 in Samsun ) is a former Turkish general of the army (Türk Kara Kuvvetleri) , who was among other things commander of the Armed Forces Academies ( TSK Harp Akademileri Komutanlığı) between 2009 and 2010 and commander of the Aegean Army (Ege Ordusu) was.

Life

Training to become an officer

Taşdeler began after attending the renowned Kuleli Kadettenanstalt (Kuleli Askerî Lisesi) in 1968 an officer training at the Army School ( Kara Harp Okulu ) , which he completed in 1970. After his promotion to Brigadier General (Tuğgeneral) on August 30, 1996 Taşdeler was commander of the 12th Mechanized Infantry Brigade . He then served as the head of the intelligence department between 1998 and 1999 and then from 1999 to 2000 as the head of the planning and policy department at the headquarters of the Allied Forces of NATO in Southern Europe AFSOUTH (Allied Forces Southern Europe) in Naples . On August 30, 2000, he was promoted to major general (Tümgeneral) and then acted between 2000 and 2003 as head of the strategy and strength planning subdivision in the General Staff, before he was Deputy Commanding General of III. Corps and commander of the 52nd Panzer Division (52nd Zırhlı Tümen) .

Taşdeler was on 30 August 2004 to Lieutenant General (Korgeneral) promoted and was followed between 2004 and 2006 Commanding General of the 3rd Army belonging VIII. Corps (VIII. Kolordu) in Elazig . Promotion to general and Ergenekon conspiracy

On August 30, 2009 Taşdeler was promoted to General (Orgeneral) by decision of the Supreme Military Council YAŞ (Yüksek Askeri Şura) . He then took over from General Hasan Aksay the post of Commander of the Armed Forces Academies ( TSK Harp Akademileri Komutanlığı) and remained in this position until he was replaced by General Bilgin Balanlı on August 30, 2010. He himself was named on August 24, 2010 Successor of General Hayri Kıvrıkoğlu Commander of the Aegean Army (Ege Ordusu) in Izmir , which is responsible for protecting the Turkish Aegean region. He remained in this post until August 25, 2011, when he was replaced by General Abdullah Atay .

Taşdeler then became the commander of the EDOK (Eğitim ve Doktrin Komutanlığı) command in Ankara , which includes the 15th Infantry Training Division in Köseköy , the medical school (Sahra Sıhhiye Okulu) and the Kuleli Cadet Institute (Kuleli Askerî Lisesi) . In 2012 he himself became a member of the YAŞ Supreme Military Council and retired in early August 2013.

In the course of the alleged Ergenekon conspiracy, Taşdeler was sentenced to life imprisonment on August 5, 2013 by the 13th High Criminal Court (13th Ağır Ceza Mahkemesi) in Istanbul together with the former generals İlker Başbuğ , Hasan Iğsız and Hurşit Tolon . After the convictions of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey were overturned on March 10, 2014, he was released from custody.

Taşdeler is married to Süeda Taşdeler and has one child.
