Nyainrong ( Tibetan : གཉན་ རོང་ རྫོང , transcription after Wylie : gnyan rong rdzong , also: Nyenrong ) is a district of the Nagqu administrative district in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China .

Area and population

Nyainrong has an area of ​​9,017 km². In 1990 Nyainrong had 23,627 inhabitants, of whom 23,572 were Tibetans (99.8%) and 55 were Han Chinese (0.2%); In 2003 the population had grown to 28,192 inhabitants.
