A section of the Munich subway, completed in 1983, runs under Nymphenburger Strasse from Stiglmaierplatz to Rotkreuzplatz . Tram line 12 uses the street from Rotkreuzplatz to Romanstraße .

history

The Nymphenburger Straße is the old connection, which has existed since 1158, from Munich via Neuhausen and Nederling to the old Salzstraße and then on towards Augsburg . Since the baroque era, it was reserved as the prince's path for carriages and equipages on the way to and from Nymphenburg Palace . All the remaining traffic had to switch to today's Blutenburgstrasse and Winthirstrasse.

Others

The street was partly the location of the television series Kir Royal (residence of the gossip reporter Baby Schimmerlos).
