The 2007/08 OFC Champions League was the seventh edition of an oceanic championship competition for club football teams and took place from October 27, 2007 to May 11, 2008 with six clubs from five countries. The teams came from New Zealand , Tahiti , Vanuatu , Fiji and the Solomon Islands . Waitakere United from New Zealand qualified as defending champions, another four teams on their placements in their domestic leagues and the sixth participant as the winner of a qualifying round. The six clubs played the participants in the finals in two groups with three teams each in two home and two away games.
Waitakere United was able to defend its title from the previous year and qualified for the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan .
qualification
The qualification took place from June 12 to 16, 2007 in New Caledonia.
