OFC Champions Cup 1999

The OFC Champions Cup 1999 was the second edition of an oceanic championship competition for club teams in football after a twelve-year break and took place from 18 to 26 September 1999 with nine clubs from nine countries in Churchill Park in Lautoka and in Prince Charles Park in Nadi held in Fiji. The teams came from American Samoa , Australia , Fiji , New Zealand , the Solomon Islands , Western Samoa , Tahiti , Tonga and Vanuatu. The teams qualified based on their placements in the national championship; Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu were represented by regional national teams. The competition was played in a round-robin tournament with three groups of three teams and a subsequent knockout round . The three group winners and the best runner-up in the group qualified for the semi-finals.

The winners South Melbourne FC from Australia qualified as representatives of Oceania for the 2000 FIFA Club World Cup in Brazil .
