The Oceana is the flagship of the Bremen shipping company Hal över .

history

The Oceana was as hull number 322 on the Atlas plants built and ran in the fall of 1937 for the shipping company Otto Wilhelm August Schreiber from stack . Due to a lack of machinery, the ship did not start sailing until 1938. With up to 1500 passengers , the day trips on the Unterweser led to the Roter Sand lighthouse . During the Second World War , the Oceana had to be handed over to the Navy and was used as a supply ship as far as Heligoland .

Ship operations on the Weser were resumed after the war. The first conversion took place in 1983. A new conversion and simultaneous modernization also included a new engine. In 2002 the Schreiber-Reederei merged with Hal över and with it the Oceana was taken over and the ship in Oldenburg was modernized again.

Decks and equipment

The Oceana has a lounge in the foredeck, a main deck, a closed upper deck and an open aft and an open foredeck. The ship is now approved for 700 passengers. The restaurant has 300 seats and 86 seats for conferences .

commitment

The Oceana is stationed at the Schlachte . From May to September it is mainly used for regular services on the Lower Weser between Bremen and Bremerhaven . In addition, there are special trips and the entire ship can also be chartered .
