Book Hill School is the district's primary school . Around 330 students are taught here by 22 teachers. The school is a model school for the “daily sports lesson in primary schools”. The Marienschule is a state-recognized, cooperative Catholic comprehensive school for girls sponsored by the Diocese of Mainz . The school unites different branches of school under one roof: Gymnasium with upper level, special level, secondary school and vocational school run side by side and are mutually permeable. Around 1000 female students are taught by 80 teachers in the Marienschule.

The Theodor-Heuss-Schule is a vocational school with a focus on business and health. Various types of school can be found under its roof: vocational high school , technical college , vocational school and vocational schools . A total of more than 2000 students are taught by over 100 teachers here. The Käthe-Kollwitz-Schule is in the immediate vicinity. This is also a vocational school with several school types and teaches in the professional fields of nutrition and housekeeping, textile technology and clothing, personal care as well as social care and social affairs.

traffic

The federal road 43 runs through Buchhügel from the west and leaves the district in a north-easterly direction. This connects the quarter to the trunk road network.

Buchhügel is served by city bus routes operated by Offenbacher Verkehrs-Betriebe in local public transport . The Offenbach industrial railway ran through the quarter . Last used in 1993, the facility has been almost completely dismantled. The route was rebuilt in 1996 to provide a fast and safe connection between the districts for cyclists and, as an industrial railway route, is part of the route for industrial culture in Offenbach .
