Lindenfeld is a district of the southern Hessian city Offenbach am Main . Along with eleven other districts, it was formed in July 2019 from the area that had previously been free of districts.

Around 7,000 people lived in this district in June 2020.

location

Lindenfeld lies between the Senefelderquartier in the west and Offenbach-Ost in the east. To the north, the route of the Frankfurt-Bebraer railway forms the border with the city center and Mathildenviertel districts . To the south, bounded by the system ring , is Buchhügel .

Infrastructure

The Bach school is located in Lindenfeld. This is a primary and secondary school with ability level . Around 550 pupils are looked after by 45 teachers.

The district is in the public transport of city bus lines of the Offenbacher of transporting enterprises developed. The route of the Südmainische S-Bahn also runs through the quarter . The three-track Offenbach Ost S-Bahn station is right next to it . All lines that serve the eastern area of the Rhein-Main S-Bahn ( S1, S2, S8 and S9 ) operate here . The route of the Frankfurt-Bebraer railway runs through Lindenfeld, but has no stopping point here .

To the east, Lindenfeld borders the federal highway 43 and connects the district with Mühlheim am Main and Hanau as well as the BAB 661 , which connects the district to the trunk road network.
