Olaf Rauschenbach

Olaf Rauschenbach (also Olaf Hensel-Kirscht ; * 1970 ) is a German actor , director and producer.

Life

Rauschenbach studied from 1991 to 1995 at the Berlin University of the Arts and then received a scholarship from the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of the Arts , Department of Film and Media Art.

From 1994 to 2010 he worked as a freelance actor. He had theater engagements a. a. at the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz and at the National Theater Weimar , to Erfurt and Trier. However, he was mainly involved in various German TV and film productions, including a. also on Israeli television (The Manis). Since 2012 he has only appeared sporadically in TV or film roles.

Under the title Apollon, divine entertainment , Rauschenbach developed theatrical city tours from 1997, first alone, from 2000 together with Jörg Pintsch and Sohila Barfi - theater from German history in urban space. The aim was to make the drama of ideologically colored, different interpretations of history and urban design in Berlin visible and tangible. So, one after the other, Mauerwahn and Königsträume (2003), Vorwärts ins Vergessen (2004) and Joureny to the Past (2006) emerged. In Berlin he met Michael Palin (Monthy Python ) for one of the Berlin shows. In 2006, in coproduction with the National Theater Weimar , Longing for Germany followed for two seasons - a journey through a sunken city . The project Apollon, divine entertainment no longer exists since 2010 .

With Kongomüller (UA Hofer Filmtage 2013) Olaf Rauschenbach produced a 30-minute short film A discussion contribution to the public debate about the consequences of military operations .

It followed in 2014 We are innocent! (WP Politische Filmnacht im Maxim München 2015, Übermut ist gut! Projektgruppe), a medium-length feature and documentary film on the topic of the juxtaposition of war and entertainment in the media, symbolizes a. a. through the battle of Stalingrad, the film Die Feuerzangenbowle , which was made immediately afterwards, and hits from this time.

In 2015, Olaf Rauschenbach and amateur actors initiated the film and theater project Fadesse ( Overconfidence is good! Project group) with characters and motifs from Dostoyevsky's Guilt and Atonement , Bruckner Leonce and Lena and quotations from Martin Buber , etc. a. from the speech on the award of the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade in 1953. In 2016 Rauschenbach completed the documentation MöbelpackerZ . The films can be seen regularly in small cinemas.

Olaf Rauschenbach has been working with amateur actors on Das Weltschmerzprojekt and as an acting lecturer at the Athanor Academy in Passau since 2016 .

Since 2017 lecturer in acting at the Nuremberg University of Music, film acting at the Stuttgart Theater Academy and acting at the Zerboni Drama School in Munich.

Olaf Rauschenbach has been documenting his artistic and educational work as well as their background on his personal website since 2017. His longstanding theme is the vision of human perfection, called: " The New Man ". He and his students develop acting training on a mythological , psychological and religious studies basis. Since 2018 he has also accompanied the creative self-awareness ritual "The Hero's Journey " to Pau Rebillot in the management team .
