Olbersdorf is a village and cadastral community of the market community Hohenwarth-Mühlbach am Manhartsberg in Lower Austria with 57 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

geography

The place is located in a clearing on the Manhartsberg and extends into the forest on the west side.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1110 in the boundary description of the Ravelsbach parish . The place name itself is passed down as Adelswartesdorf , which means Adelwart's village . The basic rule had Melk and Göttweig held before Olbersdorf constituted in 1850 as an independent community. On January 1, 1972, this was officially connected to the existing market town of Hohenwarth-Mühlbach on Manhartsberg.
