Olga Pavlovna Mineeva

Olga Pavlovna Minejewa ( Russian Ольга Павловна Минеева ., English transcription Olga Mineyeva , born Сыроватская - Syrowatskaja - Syrovatskaya * 1. October 1952 in Degtyarsk , Sverdlovsk Oblast ) is a former Russian sprinter who for the Soviet Union took. With a height of 1.78 m, her competition weight was 60 kg.

Under her maiden name she took part in the 1972 Olympic Games and took eighth place with the Soviet team in the 4 x 400 meter relay . In the 400-meter run , she was eliminated in the quarter-finals.

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, she won the silver medal in the 800-meter run in 1: 54.81 minutes behind Nadija Olisarenko and ahead of Tatiana Prowidochina (both USSR).

At the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1982 Minejewa was in top form and won over 800 m in 1: 55.41 min. With the relay she took bronze in 3: 22.79 minutes behind the teams from the GDR and the ČSSR.
