Oliver Hasenfratz

Oliver Hasenfratz (born November 20, 1966 in Sindelfingen ; † November 14, 2001 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Oliver Hasenfratz was the son of Beate and Tilbert Hasenfratz. He also had a brother, Dirk Hasenfratz. He grew up in Heidelberg, where he was trained at the private drama school Irene Haller. In addition, he took lessons in fencing and ballet as well as singing lessons with an opera singer and completed voice and speech training.

After his successful actor examination , he had his first engagements at the Hildesheim City Theater , the Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Schauspielhaus Bochum . From 1990 he worked exclusively as a film and television actor. He lived in Berlin-Kreuzberg until his death. Hasenfratz became known in 1998 in his role as Robert Kranzow, the son of the King of St. Pauli in the television series of the same name, directed by Dieter Wedel . Katja von Garnier's musical fairy tale Bandits from 1997 was the only feature film in which Oliver Hasenfratz took part. He played the role of police officer Mario Schneider in it. He also worked in several television thrillers, including in the series Der Alte , Derrick , Doppelter Einsatz (episode Evas Tod , Season 5, Episode 2), A Case for Two , Siska and Tatort . He was able to prove his humorous talent in the television play Ein Schloß für Rita .

Despite successful bone marrow donation by his brother Dirk, the actor died on November 14, 2001 in the Charité clinic in Berlin of the consequences of his leukemia . On November 23, 2001, Oliver Hasenfratz was buried in the Bergfriedhof (Heidelberg) .
