The weightlifting of women in the class up to 75 kg (heavyweight) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place on August 3, 2012 at the EcCeL Exhibition Center . 13 athletes from 12 countries competed.
The competition consisted of two parts: tearing (Snatch) and pushing (Clean and Jerk) . The participants started in two groups in the snatch, in which they had three attempts. Whoever remained without a valid attempt was eliminated. Each starter again had three attempts in pushing. The athlete with the highest aggregate weight won. In the event of a tie, lower body weight was decisive.

In August 2016, the third-placed Belarusian Irina Kulescha was convicted of doping fraud with dehydrochloromethyltestosterone . The first-placed Kazakh Svetlana Podobedowa and the second-placed Russian Natalja Sabolotnaja were also doped. The originally fourth-placed Spaniard Lidia Valentín moved up as Olympic champion.
