Oswald Koltzenburg
Oswald Koltzenburg (born July 17, 1890 in Rietzmeck , † February 25, 1956 ) was a German party functionary of the GDR block party NDPD . He was chairman of the NDPD state committee for Brandenburg and a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .
Life
After attending elementary school and high school , he studied philosophy and law in Leipzig .
Koltzenburg belonged to the German Democratic Party or the German State Party (DDP / DStP) during the Weimar Republic and was mayor of Zittau from 1923 to 1933 . After he was expelled from his post by the National Socialists, he worked as a private teacher and was head of the legal department of the “Central European Insurance Company” from 1939 to 1945.
After the war Koltzenburg worked as a teacher. In 1945 he initially joined the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), but shortly afterwards became a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). In August 1945 he was appointed to the regional councilor of the Brandenburg / Havel administrative district. In October 1946 he announced his resignation from the CDU. In 1947/48 he was head of the state administration school in Beelitz . He then served as a judge at the higher regional court in Potsdam .
In June 1948 he became a co-founder of the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD) in the state of Brandenburg and until March 1951 its first state chairman. On September 3, 1948 he was elected deputy chairman of the NDPD. Until the 3rd party congress in June 1951 he was a member of the NDPD party executive and until the 5th congress in October 1953 the main committee of the party.
From February to September 1950 he was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament in an advisory capacity. In May 1949 he became a member of the Second German People's Council and in October 1949 the Provisional People's Chamber. In November 1949 he was elected a member of the Budget and Finance Committee of the People's Chamber. As a member of the NDPD parliamentary group, he was a member of the People's Chamber until his death in 1956.
Koltzenburg was most recently chairman of the NDPD district association Berlin-Lichtenberg . In May 1955 he was awarded the National Front Badge of Honor .
