Jakob-Adolf Heilmann

Jakob-Adolf Heilmann (born October 20, 1888 in Reichertshofen , Bavaria , † December 9, 1949 in Berlin ) was a German architect and 1948/49 party functionary of the NDPD . He was chairman of the NDPD state committee for Saxony-Anhalt and in 1949 a member of the Second People's Council of the Soviet Occupation Zone and the Provisional People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Heilmann was already town planning officer in Halle (Saale) during the Weimar Republic and from 1920 to 1933 he was an associate professor for water supply at the TU Dresden . As an architect in Halle, he worked on the Giebichenstein Bridge (1926–1928) and in 1928 designed the Forstwerder Bridge . In 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP and editor-in-chief of the specialist journal "Der Gesundheitsingenieur".

In 1945 he was appointed professor at the University of Halle and in the same year city planning officer in Halle (Saale). In April 1948 he belonged with Otto Rühle and Siegfried Dallmann to the organizing committee for the establishment of the NDPD in Saxony-Anhalt and then became the first chairman of the NDPD regional association. On September 3, 1948, he was elected to the party executive committee and vice-chairman of the NDPD.

In April 1949 he was appointed to the committee for the distribution of national prizes and in September 1949 he was appointed deputy head of the DWK's construction administration .

In 1949 he was a member of the Second People's Council of the Soviet Zone and the Provisional People's Chamber of the GDR.
