Siegfried Dallmann (born February 9, 1915 in Rörchen , Naugard district , † July 29, 1994 ) was Finance Minister of the State of Brandenburg from 1950 to 1952 and, as an NDPD functionary, long-time parliamentary leader of his party in the People's Chamber .

Life

Born the son of a pastor in Pomerania , Dallmann began studying law and economics at the University of Greifswald in 1933 after attending elementary school and high school in Gollnow . Some time later he moved to Cologne and finally finished his studies in Jena . During his studies, Dallmann joined the NSDAP in 1934 and was also a member of the SA . After completing his studies, he was appointed provisional Gaustudentenführer of Thuringia in December 1939 .

In 1938, Dallmann passed his first state examination in law. Until 1940 he worked as a trainee lawyer and assistant at the University of Jena. In 1940 Dallmann was drafted into the Wehrmacht , where he was taken prisoner by the Soviets in 1943. He attended the Central Antifa School in Krasnogorsk , where he later worked as an assistant, and became an employee of the NKFD .

In 1948 Dallmann returned to Germany in the Soviet occupation zone . He was initially employed in the Ministry of Economics of Saxony-Anhalt . Dallmann took part in the founding assembly of the NDPD in 1948 and was immediately elected to the party executive committee, of which he remained until 1990. In 1950, Dallmann was elected to the state parliament of Brandenburg and on November 29, 1950 appointed finance minister of the state government of Brandenburg ( Jahn II cabinet ), to which he belonged until the state government was dissolved. At the same time, Dallmann sat from the beginning of the first electoral period from 1950 to March 1990 as a member of the People's Chamber . From 1967 to 1986 he held the office of chairman of the NDPD parliamentary group in the People's Chamber. In 1987 Dallmann retired, but remained an honorary member of the presidium of the main committee of the NDPD until November 1989. With the cooperative accession of his party to the Bund Free Democrats in March 1990, Dallmann became a member of the FDP for some time a little later .

Siegfried Dallmann was honored in 1970 with the Patriotic Order of Merit (VVO) in gold, in 1975 with the VVO in gold and in 1980 with the Star of Friendship of Nations in gold.
