Ingo von Koerber

Ingo von Koerber (born September 13, 1890 in Groß Plowenz (Płowęż), † June 10, 1978 in Barop ) was a German politician of the GDR bloc party LDPD . He was chairman of the LDP the executive committee of Brandenburg and financial and health minister of Brandenburg.

Life

Ingo von Koerber attended high school and graduated from high school . He then initially worked as a farmer. In 1919 he joined the DDP. After studying law , he worked as a lawyer. In 1933 he was dismissed as a judge by the National Socialists for "political unreliability". From 1940 to 1945 he worked as an employee in an industrial company.

After the end of the war, he joined the LDP in 1945. From April 1946 he was head of organization, from March 1947 to July 1948 second chairman and from July 1948 to 1951 finally first chairman of the state executive committee of the LDPD Brandenburg. From December 1949 to November 1950 he was Minister of Finance and from November 1950 to July 1952 Minister of Health of the State of Brandenburg. 1952/1953 he was chairman of the district board of the LDPD Frankfurt (Oder) and from 1952 deputy chairman of the council of the district Frankfurt (Oder).

From 1946 to 1952 he was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament , where he was chairman of the committee for the rules of procedure from 1950 to 1952. From 1948 to 1954 he was also a member of the People's Council and the People's Chamber of the GDR. On October 31, 1960, Walter Ulbricht presented him with the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze in the presence of Erich Mielke on the occasion of his 70th birthday . In 1965 he received the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.

In 1970 von Koerber moved to the Federal Republic of Germany as part of a family reunification .
