Otjinene is a village and the administrative seat of the constituency of the same name in the Omaheke region (formerly Hereroland ). It is located in the east of Namibia and has 2100 inhabitants on an area of ​​10.8 square kilometers .

Otjinene has had village status since February 28, 2011 . It is located around 200 kilometers north of Gobabis and around 170 kilometers east of Okakarara . Much of the constituency is farmland.

The late Ovaherero leader Alfons Maharero (1938–2012) comes from Okonja near Otjinene.
