Otto of Limburg-Styrum
Otto von Limburg-Styrum (* 1620 ; † August 27, 1679 on Kasteel Borculo in Borculo ) was Count of Limburg by descent , by heir Count von Bronckhorst and Lord of Borculo . Banner lord of Geldern and Zutphen .
Life
He was the first-born son of Count Hermann Otto I of Limburg-Styrum and Anna Magdalene, Freiin Spies von Büllesheim zu Frechen.
His father Hermann Otto divided his inheritance among his sons, whereby after his death in 1644 Count Otto inherited the County of Bronckhorst and the Dominion Borculo, Count Adolf Ernst the Dominion Gemen and Count Moritz the Dominion Styrum .
He was in 1643 captain in the cavalry of the United Netherlands . During the Second Northern War he was in the service of the Swedish King Karl X. Gustav .
As a major general in the infantry , he took part in the Battle of Seneffe on August 11, 1674 .
