Her ice dance partner was Paul Thomas . In 1955 they won the silver medal behind their compatriots Jean Westwood and Lawrence Demmy at both the European Championships and the World Championships . 1956, Thomas and Weight as reigning British Eistanzmeister only in Paris European Championship and then in Garmisch-Partenkirchen World Champion . After that, Weight ended her career to start a family.
