Paul Thomas is a former British figure skater who started in ice dancing .

First, he competed on the side of Nesta Davies . In their world championship debut in 1953 , the couple finished fourth. In 1954 they won the silver medal behind their compatriots Jean Westwood and Lawrence Demmy at both the European Championships and the World Championships . This result was repeated in the same way at the World and European Championships in 1955, although Thomas' ice dance partner was now Pamela Weight . In 1956, Thomas and Weight, as reigning British champions, first became European champions in Paris and then world champions in Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
