Paolo Maria Nocera
Paolo Maria Nocera (born July 22, 1985 in Rome ) is an Italian racing driver .
Nocera started his career in karting in 2000 . In 2002 he switched to the Italian Formula Ford . He was able to secure the runner-up title there straight away. In 2003 the Italian drove in the Italian Formula Renault and was 20th overall. Also started in a race in the Formula Renault Eurocup. For the next two years, Nocera was active in Italian Formula 3 and in 2005 came third in the overall standings. In 2006 Nocera drove one half of the season each in the Euroseries 3000 and Formula 3 Euroseries . In 2007 Nocera switched back to Italian Formula 3. He drove - as in 2004 and 2005 - for the Lucidi team and won the championship.
In 2008 , BCN Competición signed Paolo Maria Nocera for the GP2 series . After the racing weekend in Barcelona he had to vacate his place for the Spaniard Adrián Vallés . On August 25, it was announced that Nocera was signed by RC Motorsport for the World Series by Renault as a replacement for Duncan Tappy .
