Miloš Pavlović

Miloš Pavlović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Милош Павловић , born October 8, 1982 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian automobile racing driver who has competed in various classes of automobile racing since 1991 . He lives in Desenzano del Garda , Italy .

Career

Pavlović started karting in 1991 . In 1992 he was the winner of the Yugoslav kart series in the age group up to 14 years. The following year he started in Italy. In 1994 he was European runner-up in Braga ( Portugal ) and third in the world championship in Ugento (Italy). Pavlović attracted international attention when he became the youngest winner of the Ayrton Senna Trophy in Japan in 1996 . He won the race ahead of Giorgio Pantano and Jenson Button .

In 1997, Pavlović tried out various formulas and graduated from the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School at Formula Vauxhall in England . The following year he started in the Formula Vauxhall Junior Championship in Great Britain , but only took part in 12 of 16 races due to financial difficulties and finished the season in tenth place in the drivers' championship. In 1999 he drove again in Formula Vauxhall and achieved two wins and three more podium places. This earned him fourth place in the overall standings.

In 2000 Pavlović was promoted to the British Formula 3 championship . Due to frequent breakdowns due to technical problems with his vehicle, he only finished eleventh at the end of the season. 2001 Pavlović stayed in this series and finally finished 17th overall. In 2002 he competed in the Italian Formula 3 championship . He won the racing series with five wins and three second places.

In 2003 Pavlović wanted to start in the international Formula 3000 , but could not realize this wish for financial reasons. He got the chance to start in the Nissan- sponsored, newly formed World Series Light , in which he finished third. The following year he managed to win the racing series. From 2005 to 2007 Pavlović drove in Formula Renault 3.5 . In this racing series he was able to finish the 2007 season with third place after a 17th place in 2005 and an eleventh place in 2006 in the overall standings. In total, the Serb won two races in this series.

In 2008 Pavlović switched to the GP2 series for BCN Competición . In the GP2 Asia series held at the beginning of the year , he finished 16th in the drivers' standings. After that, he also competed in the European GP2 series for BCN Competición. After three race weekends he was replaced by Carlos Iaconelli . At the end of the season he finished 32nd in the overall ranking.

In 2009 Pavlović started in the revived Formula 2 . He achieved two podium finishes and finished ninth overall at the end of the season. After not racing in 2010, he completed the first two race weekends of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2011 .
