Donny "The Don" Crevels (born February 6, 1974 in Amsterdam ) is a former Dutch racing driver .

Racing career

Donny Crevels won the Formula K Kart World Cup in 1991 at the age of 17 and switched to monoposto racing in 1993 . In 1994 he won the overall ranking of the Formula Opel Championship in the Netherlands. In the same year he also won the Nations Cup of the racing series and was third overall in the Euro series. In 1996 he switched to Formula 3 , was overall winner of the Italian Formula 3 Championship in 1998 and was test driver for Minardi in the Formula 1 World Championship in the same year .

After no further engagements with the Monopostos, he switched to touring and sports car racing in 2000 . He competed in races in the Dutch Marcos Mantis Cup, competed in the V8 Star Series and was the first overall winner in the Benelux Racing League V6 in 2004 . Internationally, he was a works driver for the Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker Cars in 2005 and 2006 , for which he competed in the American Le Mans Series , the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans .
