The Town of Paris is located in southwest Wisconsin and completely encloses the city of Dickeyville without it being part of the town. The Platte River flows through the town in the northwest and flows into the Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa , immediately behind its western border . The Illinois border is around 15 km south.

The four-lane US Highway 151 runs in a northeast-southwest direction through the Town of Paris. In the southern center of the town, the US Highway 61 and the Wisconsin State Highway 35 join the US 151 and run in a south-easterly direction on a common stretch of road. All three streets form the Wisconsin section of the Great River Road on their course parallel to the Mississippi . All other roads are subordinate country roads or partly unpaved roads.
With the Platteville Municipal Airport there is a small airfield around 20 km east. The nearest major airports are Dubuque Regional Airport in Dubuque , Iowa (around 30 km south-southwest) and Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin's capital Madison (around 140 km east-northeast).
