The Town of Woodman is located in southwestern Wisconsin, on the south bank of the Wisconsin River , a left tributary of the border with Iowa forming Mississippi . The Wisconsin State Highway 133 and County Highway C, K and Z passing through the Town of Woodman. All other roads are subordinate country roads or partly unpaved roads.
A railroad line of the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad runs along the Wisconsin River for freight traffic , which runs from the Mississippi to Madison and from there to Milwaukee .
With the Boscobel Airport is located in the small town of Boscobel a small airfield (about 15 km northeast of the Town of Woodman). The nearest commercial airports are Dubuque Regional Airport in Iowa (around 100 km south) and Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin's capital Madison (around 140 km east).
