Pascaline Chavanne

Pascaline Chavanne (* in Wanze ) is a Belgian costume designer .

Life

Chavanne first studied scenography at the École Supérieure des Arts de la Ville de Liège - Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Liège (ÉSAVL-ARBAL). At the age of 20 she went to Paris and trained as a costume designer. Her first work in film was 1997, the costume design for the short film La fin de la nuit by Étienne Faure . Since a criminal pair from the year 1999, she works closely with director Francois Ozon together and created for the majority of his films, the costumes. She had her breakthrough as a costume designer in 2002 in Ozons 8 Frauen , for which she was nominated for a César in the category of best costumes . Numerous other César nominations followed; she finally won the award in 2014 for her work in Renoir and in 2020 for Intrigue .

Chavanne lives and works in Paris.
