Patrick Müller (born April 18, 1996 ) is a former Swiss cyclist .
Sports career
Patrick Müller was Swiss champion in the junior road race in 2013 and 2014. In addition, there was the national title on the track in the team sprint and in the omnium of the juniors. At the 2013 Junior European Railway Championships , he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit . At the beginning of 2014 he won bronze in the cyclocross of the national junior championship. In addition, he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit and silver in the Madison at the European Junior Track Championships .
In 2015, Müller became Swiss champion in the U23 road race. At the UEC European Track Championships for Juniors / U23s 2015 , he won silver in the U23 team pursuit. In October 2015 at the Track Cycling World Cup in Cali , Colombia , he finished second in the team pursuit. On the road, he won the Italian one-day race Giro del Belvedere . A few days after this success he finished second behind Tao Geoghegan Hart at the Trofeo Piva .
In the final stage of the Tour of Utah 2017 around Salt Lake City , Müller finished fourth as a stagiaire in the BMC Racing Team . For the 2018 season he switched to the French team Vital Concept Cycling Club . In 2019 he won the Volta Limburg Classic as well as the junior class of the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe . Due to persistent pain in his left leg, he ended his sports career in the middle of the year.
