Patrick Andrew McCaw (born October 25, 1995 in St. Louis ) is an American basketball player . He plays in the positions of shooting guard and small forward .

career

McCaw played at school age for the basketball team at Christian Brothers College High School in his native St. Louis and then went to the Montrose Christian High School in Rockville , Maryland . In 2014 McCaw enrolled at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and played 65 games for the college team by 2016. After the 2015/16 season, in which he had an average of 14.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.5 ball wins per encounter, he announced that he would continue his professional career. The Milwaukee Bucks secured the rights to McCaw in the NBA draft proceedings in June 2016, but had  reached an agreement with the Golden State Warriors to hand him over to the Californians.

McCaw won the NBA championship with Golden State in 2017 and 2018, and was a supplementary player in both seasons. In late December 2018, he signed a contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers , but was released a few days later. The NBA opened an investigation at the behest of the Golden State Warriors, but found no violation of the rules by the Cleveland Cavaliers. On January 10, 2019, the Toronto Raptors announced McCaw's signing. With the Canadian team, he won his third NBA championship title, and was also a supplementary player, as in California before. To win three championships in a row, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal (2000 to 2002 each) succeeded before McCaw .
