Patrick Mower

Patrick Mower (* 12. September 1940 in Oxford , England as Patrick Archibald Shaw ) is a British actor .

Life

Patrick Shaw attended Grammar School and began training as a draftsman at the British Motor Corporation . However, he decided to pursue an acting career and studied at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art . In the mid-1960s he had his first guest appearances on British television series . He made his feature film debut in 1968 in The Devil's Bride , a horror film by Hammer Studios with Christopher Lee in the lead role. In the 1970s, he played police officers in three crime series; between 1970 and 1972 in Callan , from 1973 to 1974 in The Specialists and 1977 to 1978 in Target . He appeared in Savior of the Nation , a film from the carry-on… film series , starred in the British spaghetti western Under the Deadly Sun with Richard Roundtree and was seen in 1971 alongside Uschi Glas in a film adaptation of Black Beauty . Since 2000 he has played the role of Rodney Blackstock in the soap opera Emmerdale .

Mower was dating actress Suzanne Danielle in the 1980s . In his autobiography , published in 2007 , he suggested that he was born on September 12, 1938, and his place of birth is variously given as Pontypridd , South Wales .
