Patrik Christian Gogulla (born December 27, 1988 in Düsseldorf ) is a German ice hockey referee and former player who was last under contract with Duisburger Füchsen from the ice hockey league West in the 2012/13 season . His older brother Philip is also a hockey player.
Career
Gogulla started his career in his hometown Düsseldorf with the offspring of the DEG Metro Stars . From 2005 he was active there with the junior team in the junior Bundesliga. There he was one of the team's best scorers and scored 53 points in 34 games in the 2006/07 season. Furthermore, he was in the same season in the squad of the amateur team of the DEG, with which he rose from the Association League NRW to the Regionalliga NRW . In the summer of 2007 he signed a one-year contract with the regional league club EHC Dortmund together with his former Düsseldorf coach Jesse Panek and other players from the DEG amateur team .
With the Dortmunders he reached the play-off final, which, however, was lost to the Herner EV . So he and his team just missed promotion to the third highest German division, the league. He switched to this for the 2008/09 season, when those responsible for the Red Devils from Bad Nauheim signed him. In his first league season, Gogulla completed a total of 58 games and was able to score 35 times. During the 2009/10 season , the DEL Club Frankfurt Lions equipped him with a sponsorship license , whereupon he played his first game in the German Ice Hockey League a short time later.
In January 2010 he moved to Füchsen Duisburg in the regional league before joining Wölfen Freiburg in the summer . From January 2011 until the end of the season he played for Herner EV in the Oberliga West. From 2011 to 2013 he played again for the Duisburger Füchse .
After retiring as a player, Gogulla began his career as a referee . Since the 2018/19 season he has been the main referee in the DEL, where he wears the shirt number 22.
