Paul Lazar (1993)

Paul Lazar (born before 1983) is an American actor and theater director . He is a co-founder of the New York Big Dance Theater .

Life

Lazar was initially active at the theater in New York. As a member of the Irondale theater group , he met his future wife Annie-B Parson in 1983 , with whom he worked on numerous productions.

Since 1983 he has also appeared in the first film and television productions. He worked repeatedly with director Jonathan Demme , who cast him in his films The Mafiosi Bride , The Silence of the Lambs , Philadelphia , Human Child , The Manchurian Candidate and Rachel's Wedding .

In 1991 Lazar founded the Big Dance Theater in Brooklyn with Annie-B Parson and Molly Hickok . Lazar and Parsons are co-directors of the theater. Lazar has directed several productions and appears there regularly as an actor.

He also teaches drama at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University . He has previously lectured at Yale University , Rutgers University , William Esper Studio and Michael Howard Studio.

Lazar and Parson have one son and live in New York City.
