action
Julia Mann and Kevin Vallick write speeches for competing politicians. Tensions arise between the two, which come to a head when Kevin steals Julia's notebook and dictates a confused speech on her behalf, which Julia's boss reads off. The two grow closer anyway, especially after Julia discovers that for her fiancé Bob Freed, his career is the top priority. Kevin warns Julia that she should be released. She saves her job by getting the idea that her boss should rescue a little bear from a ravine in a media-effective manner.
Julia's boss wins the election. When she learns that he has accepted bribes, she resigns from a position in the administration and runs for election herself. Kevin Vallick becomes her partner and campaign manager.
