Willie Garson (born February 20, 1964 as William Garson Paszamant in Highland Park , New Jersey , † September 21, 2021 ) was an American actor . He was best known for his roles as Stanford Blatch in Sex and the City and Teddy "Mozzie" Winters in White Collar .

Prior to acting as an actor, Garson studied at Wesleyan University and graduated from Yale Drama School. He got his first role in the mid-1980s for American television. He mainly took on small supporting roles in various television series, and from time to time he also played in TV films. In the 1990s and at the beginning of the 21st century he took part in various larger productions: in 1993 he was in Real Love and Groundhog Day , and in 1999 he worked alongside Christopher Lambert in The Fortress II: The Return with, in 2003 he was in Freaky Fridayand in 2006 a role in The TV Set followed . Directed by the Farrelly brothers, he starred in their comedies Kingpin (1996), Crazy About Mary (1998) and A Man for a Season (2005).

His breakthrough as an actor came with the role of Stanford Blatch in the television series Sex and the City . In this role he was seen in a total of 28 episodes from 1998 to 2004. In 2008 he again portrayed Blatch in the Sex-and-the-City movie and in 2010 in its sequel Sex and the City 2. From 2009 he was seen in the television series White Collar as Teddy "Mozzie" Winters.

Willie Garson died of cancer in September 2021 at the age of 57. He leaves behind a son who was adopted in 2009.
