action
Santa Claus is in the middle of a crisis - he's tired of the responsibility of his job and willing to hand everything over to his enterprising daughter Mary. But Mary feels fully occupied between her own company in New York City and has no time for the family business at the North Pole . She also has a relationship with Luke that she doesn't want to endanger. But Luke understands and so they both set off on the journey north. Actually everything has been going on there since Mary's last assignment, quite smoothly and almost by itself. However, Teri, a mysterious and ambitious newcomer to the North Pole, has decided that she wants to be the new Santa Claus. In her competition against Mary, she gets the elves to strike and ensnares Luke in such a way that Mary becomes jealous and travels back to New York. Mrs. Claus then reproaches her husband and tells him to go back to work and end the chaos. He does that and makes it clear to Teri that he is the boss and that no one other than his daughter Mary should represent him.
Meanwhile, Mary finds out that Teri is actually the elf Phoebe. Without further ado, she travels back to the North Pole and confronts Teri. It turns out that she even locked Santa and Mrs. Claus in to be the boss for Christmas alone. After Mary and Luke free Santa, they chase Teri, who has since made off with the Christmas sleigh and toys. After catching up with Teri, she explains that she wanted to challenge Santa and Mary with her behavior so that they can find their way back to their destiny. They all understand that and since they have to hurry to deliver the presents in time for Christmas, Santa and Mary work together.
background
The shooting took place in Calgary , Canada .
In contrast to the first part, two of the most important actors have been exchanged. Santa Claus was played in the first part by George Wendt and Luke Jessup by Ivan Sergei . The new actors do not resemble the old roles either visually or in character. The characters act very differently than in Santa Baby . Santa Claus, for whom his job was still the most important thing in the first part, becomes an egoist with a midlife crisis . The quiet, withdrawn Luke becomes an opinionless follower. Even the dutiful elves were never abandoned their work so shortly before Christmas.
