Pavel Fořt (born June 26, 1983 in Pilsen ) is a Czech football player . He has both feet and is preferred as a center forward.

Career

Youth in Plzeň

Pavel Fořt started playing football at his home club TJ Sklo Union Heřmanova Huť . At the same time he played ice hockey until he was a teenager and at the age of twelve even started an offer from HC Lasselsberger Plzeň , which he renounced in favor of football. A year later, Fořt joined the SK Slavia Vejprnice , before moving to the youth department of Viktoria Pilsen in 1997 . At Viktoria he advanced to the junior national team of his home country and signed his first professional contract at the age of 16. In early 2000, however, Fořt suffered a serious knee injury and missed the U-16 European Championship in Israel in 2000 , in which the Czech selection finished second.

Breakthrough at Viktoria Plzeň

Because of this injury, his debut in the Gambrinus League was delayed . His first league game then played Fořt on April 29, 2001 (26th matchday), when he was substituted in for Petr Smíšek in a 1-1 draw at home against SK Sigma Olomouc in the 78th minute of play . Viktoria Plzeň was at one point in the bottom of the table and was relegated at the end of the season. In the Druhá League Fořt was able to prevail immediately against storm competition in the club and marked 14 hits in the 2001/02 season. In the following season he was able to improve this mark again and scored 15 goals. With these consistently good performances, Fořt soon attracted the attention of higher-class teams. In early 2003 he finally agreed with Slavia Prague about a change for the coming season. The transfer fee was around 950,000 euros .

First division player at Slavia Praha

At Slavia Fořt met a lot of competition in the attack and was initially only used sporadically. Since the 2004/05 season , however, he was increasingly part of the starting line-up of the Czech capital city club. Fořt continued to run for the Czech junior national teams during this time, but ultimately missed the jump from the U-21 selection to the senior national team . In the first half of the 2006/07 season he scored seven goals in 22 league games, whereupon the French first division club Toulouse FC signed him on January 1, 2007 for a transfer fee of around one million euros.

Reservist at Toulouse FC

For Toulouse Fořt made his debut on January 24, 2007 (21st matchday) when he came on in the 1-0 away win against OGC Nice 16 minutes before the end of the game for Johan Elmander . In the south of France, however, he was initially unable to prevail against the storm competition, which is why he was loaned to the Belgian first division club FC Brussels for a year for the 2007/08 season . At the Belgian capital club Fořt was used twelve times in the first half of the season and scored two goals before he suffered cartilage damage in January 2008 and therefore had to pause for half a year. Even after his return to Toulouse FC, he was unable to assert himself against the competition in attack and did not play a single league game for the southern French. Then Fořt was awarded back to Slavia Prague for the second half of the 2008/09 season , where he was able to build on his old performance and scored five goals in 14 league appearances. Nevertheless, the southern French were not interested in continuing to employ Fořt, which is why they transferred him to the German Bundesliga relegated Arminia Bielefeld in the summer of 2009 for a transfer fee of around 450,000 euros .

New start at Arminia Bielefeld

Fořt made his debut for Arminia in the 2nd Bundesliga on August 10, 2009, when he was in the starting line-up in the 3-1 home win against Hansa Rostock and was substituted for Besart Berisha in the 80th minute . In his first year with Ostwestfalen, he scored ten goals in 27 games before tearing a cruciate ligament in preparation for the 2010/11 season and was therefore out for almost the entire season. Fořt then made his comeback on April 17, 2011 (30th matchday) when he came on as a substitute for Collin Quaner in the 3: 3 home game against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the second half . At one point Arminia Bielefeld was already in last place in the table and was relegated at the end of the season. He then left East Westphalia in the summer of 2011 and joined his teammate Dennis Eilhoff on a free transfer to the newly promoted second division Dynamo Dresden .

Change to Dynamo Dresden

For Dynamo Fořt made his debut on July 15, 2011 (1st matchday) when he was part of the starting lineup in the 1: 2 away defeat against Energie Cottbus and was substituted for Robert Koch in the 74th minute of the game . With his first league goal for the Saxon capital club, he marked the 1-1 final score in the 76th minute of the home game against Hansa Rostock on July 24, 2011 (2nd matchday) . In the second division season 2011/12 the striker came to a total of 24 games and five goals and managed to stay with Dynamo. After the 2012/13 season , his contract with Dynamo Dresden was not extended.

Moved to Slovan Bratislava

After his contract in Dresden was not extended beyond the 2012/13 season, Fort moved to the Slovak first division club ŠK Slovan Bratislava on a free transfer .
