Robert Koch (born February 26, 1986 in Löbau ) is a German soccer player who is currently under contract with FV Eintracht Niesky .

Career

Koch grew up in Melaune and initially played at SV Meuselwitz. At the age of 16 he moved to FC Oberlausitz Neugersdorf . After making his debut for the first team of Oberlausitzer in the NOFV-Oberliga Süd in the 2004/05 season , Koch developed into the club's top scorer in the following year. He then moved to league competitor SC Borea Dresden for the 2007/08 season , where he also immediately became the team's top scorer.

In the summer of 2009 he was hired by Dynamo Dresden , where he should offer himself with appropriate services in the reserve team for the professional team. On September 12, 2009 (9th matchday) Koch made his professional debut in the 3rd division . In total, Koch played ten games (seven goals) for Dynamo's second team in the NOFV-Oberliga Süd and 21 games (3 goals) for the first team in the third division this season. In the 2010/11 season he was finally able to establish himself in the professional team and, with six hits in 34 league appearances, played a key role in ensuring that Dynamo Dresden reached third place in the table at the end of the season, qualifying for relegation. In January 2011, his contract, which expired at the end of the season, was extended prematurely for two more years.

With two more goals in the relegation games , Koch made a decisive contribution to the fact that Dynamo Dresden was able to prevail against VfL Osnabrück and thus promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . On July 30, 2011, he scored two goals in the DFB Cup first round match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen , a major contributor to the “miracle of Dresden” when Dynamo was 3-0 down from the 68th minute 3 win (: in a 4 n v. transform coins). In summer 2012 he took over the captaincy of Cristian Fiél at Dynamo Dresden, which he lost to Mickaël Poté during the winter break due to injury and poor performance (3 yellow cards and one red card) .

On July 21, 2014, Koch's move to 1. FC Nürnberg was announced. Koch had been without a contract since June 29, 2016 after the club announced the termination of the contract by mutual agreement. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, he moved back to his home club in Neugersdorf, which was now playing in the regional league. During the winter break of the 2016/17 season, Koch moved to third division club FSV Zwickau . For the 2018/19 season , Robert Koch returned to FC Oberlausitz Neugersdorf in the Regionalliga Nordost .

At the beginning of 2019, Koch ended his professional career prematurely due to injury. It remains with the FCO internally in marketing . However, he continues to play as an amateur with the Saxon sixth division ( Sachsenliga ) FV Eintracht Niesky .

Private

Koch has been the father of a son since March 2014.
