Pavel Richter (born December 5, 1954 in Prague , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player .

Career

Pavel Richter began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Sparta ČKD Prague , for whose senior team he was active in the first division , the highest Czechoslovak division, from 1975 to 1985 . In the 1977/78 season he was part of a Czechoslovak national team that played eight games against teams of the World Hockey Association as a visiting team during a North American tour . For the 1985/86 season the attacker joined the EHC Kloten of the Swiss National League A . He then signed a contract with the NLA participant HC Ambrì-Piotta , for which, however, he did not play a championship game. Instead, he was committed to the 1986/87 season by ESV Kaufbeuren from the ice hockey Bundesliga . At Bayern he was able to convince with 66 scorer points, of which 28 goals, in 35 games and was top scorer in the Bundesliga. He was also elected to the all-star team in the top German league. Then the Czech ran from 1988 to 1990 for the EHC 80 Nuremberg from the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga . Most recently he played from 1990 to 1992 at 1. EV Weiden , where he reached 180 points from 38 games in the 1990/1991 season in the Regionalliga Süd. Most recently, he had 89 points in 23 games in the Oberliga Süd, before he had to end his career at the age of 38 due to a facial injury suffered in the game.

International

For Czechoslovakia , Richter took part in the junior division at the U19 European Junior Championships in 1973 and 1974 . At the U19 European Championship in 1973, he won the bronze medal with his team.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 1978 , 1981 , 1982 , 1983 and 1985 World Championships . He also represented Czechoslovakia at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo and at the Canada Cup in 1976 and 1981 . At the world championship in 1981 he and his team won the bronze medal, at the world championships in 1978, 1982 and 1983 as well as the Olympic Winter Games in 1984 the silver medal and at the world championship in 1985 the gold medal.
