Pedersborg Kirke

Pedersborg Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the town of Sorø on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Alsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Sorø Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into the "new" Sorø Kommune in the Sjælland region as part of the local reform on January 1, 2007 .

Of the 8005 inhabitants of Sorø, 3,065 live in the parish of Pedersborg (as of January 1, 2020). The church “Pedersborg Kirke” is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Bromme Sogn in the northwest , Munke Bjergby Sogn in the northeast, Bjernede Sogn in the east, Slaglille Sogn and Sorø Sogn in the southeast and Lynge Sogn in the south , and Kindertofte Sogn in the neighboring Slagelse municipality to the west .
