Alsted Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Alsted Herred in what was then Sorø Amt , then to Sorø Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into the "new" Sorø Kommune in the Sjælland region as part of the local reform on January 1, 2007 .

481 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Alsted Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are in the southwest Vester Broby Sogn , in the northwest Slaglille Sogn and in the north Fjenneslev Sogn , furthermore in the east neighboring Ringsted municipality Sigersted Sogn and in the south neighboring Næstved municipality Vrangstrup Sogn , Tyvelse Sogn and Næsby Sogn .
