Pedro Cunha Cruz (born June 16, 1964 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Campanha .

Life

Pedro Cunha Cruz received on 4 August 1990 from the archbishop of Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro, Eugênio Cardinal de Araujo Sales , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 24, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Agbia and auxiliary bishop in Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro . The Archbishop of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, Orani Tempesta OCist , donated him and the simultaneously appointed auxiliary bishops Nelson Francelino Ferreira and Paulo César Costa the episcopal ordination on February 5, 2011 ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Nova Friburgo , Rafael Llano Cifuentes , and the bishop of Valença , Elias James Manning OFMConv .

Pope Francis appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Campanha on May 20, 2015 . With the age-related resignation of his predecessor Diamantino Prata de Carvalho OFM , he succeeded him on November 25, 2015 as Bishop of Campanha.
