Diamantino Prata de Carvalho
Diamantino Prata de Carvalho OFM (born November 20, 1940 in Manteigas , Região Centro , Portugal ) is a Portuguese religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Campanha .
Life
Diamantino Prata de Carvalho joined the Order of the Franciscans (OFM) and was ordained a priest on December 10, 1972 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Campanha on March 25, 1998. He was ordained episcopal on May 2nd of the same year by the Archbishop of Belo Horizonte , Serafím Cardinal Fernandes de Araújo ; Co- consecrators were Albino Mamede Cleto , Coadjutor Bishop of Coimbra , and Luís Flávio Cappio OFM, Bishop of Barra . As a motto he chose SERVIRE IN LÆTITIA .
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on November 25, 2015.
