Pedro Daniel Martínez Perea (born March 5, 1956 in Mendoza , Argentina ) is an Argentine clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of San Luis .

Life

Pedro Daniel Martínez Perea was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Mendoza on December 17, 1981 . He was incardinated in the clergy of the diocese of San Rafael in 1986 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 7, 2009 Coadjutor Bishop of San Luis. He was ordained episcopal on March 19, 2010 by the Archbishop of La Plata , Héctor Rubén Aguer ; Co- consecrators were Alfonso Delgado Evers , Archbishop of San Juan de Cuyo , Jorge Luis Lona , Bishop of San Luis, Eduardo Maria Taussig , Bishop of San Rafael, and Juan Alberto Puiggari , Bishop of Mar del Plata .

With Jorge Luis Lona's retirement , he succeeded him on February 22, 2011 in the office of Bishop of San Luis. Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on June 9, 2020.
