Pero Radicic

Pero Radicic (born January 28, 1972 in Vienna , Austria ) is a Swiss actor of Croatian-Serbian origin.

Life

Radicic was born in Austria. He grew up with German, Croatian and Serbian as mother tongues. He completed his acting training from 1998 to 1999 at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York City , then from 1999 to 2000 at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. During his training he played theater in New York, a. a. at the Samuel Beckett Theater and the Pantheon Theater; there he played the staff captain Soljony in Three Sisters .

After his training he returned to Europe, where he settled in Berlin . There he played at smaller Berlin theaters, a. a. at the Windspieltheater Berlin (2001) and at the Theater im Kino (TiK), Berlin. From 2001 to 2004 he was with the play Class Enemy by Nigel Williams on a nationwide theater tour. Radicic played Fetzer, the top macho and class boss. In December 2002 he appeared at the Acud Theater in Berlin as the rose seller Sad in the dramatic monologue Dreck by the Austrian author Robert Schneider . Further engagements followed at the Theaterforum Kreuzberg (2003; as Kinesias in Lysistrate ), in the Brotfabrik (2004; as Baylor in Lügengespinst by Sam Shepard ) and in the Saalbau Neukölln (2005; as an antagonist in Kerosin by Nicolai Borger ). He appeared several times in the Berlin tribune . In 2004 he played Marco in Arthur Miller's play A View from the Bridge ; In 2006 followed, directed by Falk Richter , the title role in a stage version of the film Birdy . In October 2007 he appeared in the Hebbel am Ufer as Tabernero in the Zarzuela La verbena de la paloma . In 2013 Radicic was back on stage after a long absence from the theater. At the Theaterhaus Berlin Mitte he played the role of Dr. Morrison in the play Hell Doesn't Wait by Michael Cooney . In December 2014 Iago played in Shakespeare's Othello at the Turbine Theater in Langnau am Albis , Canton of Zurich .

Radicic has also worked for film and television since the beginning of his acting career. Due to his origins and language skills, he often played characters whose ethnic roots are in the Balkans and Southeast Europe . He was often set to the type of gangster, crook, underworld man or dealer. After participating in several short films and university films, he played a supporting role as a gangster in the crook and mistaken comedy Balkanserenade II - The Serbian Bean Stew in 2005 . In the TV movie of Europe last summer by Bernd Fischerauer played Radicic the lawyer, criminal lawyer and SPD politician Paul Levi , who later became a co-founder of the Spartacus League . In the Swiss episode film Nachtexpress (2012) by Alex E. Kleinberger he played the Croatian Ivica.

He was seen in a supporting role in the Tatort television film Christmas Bonus in December 2014. He played the seedy bartender and brothel worker Dragan.

Radicic also had episode roles a. a. in the series Anna und die Liebe (as Russian business partner Roman), Die Rosenheim-Cops (2011; as a freelance photographer Florian Bachner, 2014; as paparazzo Toni Kretschmer), Der Landarzt (2013; as drug dealer Sascha Bold) and Verbotene Liebe (2014 , as gangster Marc "Mütze" Decker).

Radicic is a Swiss citizen; he also has Croatian and Serbian citizenship. He has lived in Berlin since 2000.
